Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Oliver Moelback, Winkelriedstrasse 23, 6003 Luzern, Switzerland ("we", "us") about your use of the BetterBaby app ("BetterBaby"). By creating an account you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. What BetterBaby is
BetterBaby helps expecting and new parents follow a pregnancy and a child's early years together: tracking, appointments, checklists, a journal, photos and general information. It is shared by the members of a household.
[DURING THE PILOT: BetterBaby is in a test phase. Features may change, be unavailable or be removed, and data from the test phase will / will not carry over.]
2. Not medical advice
BetterBaby does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Information in the app, including pregnancy weeks, baby size comparisons, tips, articles, checklists, milestones and any estimates or ranges, is general and may not fit your situation. It does not replace your midwife, doctor or paediatrician.
Do not use BetterBaby in an emergency. If you or your child may need urgent help, call 144 in Switzerland or 112 in the EU, or contact your doctor.
BetterBaby is not a medical device and is not intended to monitor, diagnose or treat any condition.
3. Your account
- You must be at least [18] years old.
- Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us at info@betterbaby.ch if you think your account has been misused.
4. Households and sharing
- A household is shared. Everyone in your household can see, add, change and delete what is recorded for its pregnancies and children, including photos.
- Invite only people you trust. Invite codes can be forwarded, and anyone with a valid code can join until it expires or is revoked.
- An admin can remove members. Anyone can leave a household.
- If you add information about another person, such as your partner or your child, you confirm you are entitled to do so.
5. Your content
- What you add (text, photos, records) remains yours.
- You give us a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, process and display your content only to run BetterBaby for you and your household. We do not use it for anything else, and this permission ends when the content is deleted (subject to backups, see the Privacy Policy).
- You must not upload content that is unlawful, infringes others' rights, or that you are not allowed to share.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse or disrupt the service, try to access other households' data, reverse engineer the app except as permitted by law, or use BetterBaby for any unlawful purpose.
7. Subscription and payment

- Subscriptions are bought and billed through Apple's App Store and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel them in your Apple Account settings.

8. Availability and changes
We work to keep BetterBaby available and your data safe, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue BetterBaby, we will give you at least [30] days' notice and a way to export your data.
9. Ending your use
- You can stop using BetterBaby and delete your account at any time in Settings → Privacy & data. What deletion removes is described in the Privacy Policy.
- We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms, after warning you where reasonable.
10. Liability
- BetterBaby is provided with reasonable care. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions made on the basis of general information in the app.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or for anything that cannot be limited by law [(Art. 100 Swiss Code of Obligations)].
11. Apple
If you downloaded BetterBaby from the App Store, [Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies in addition to these terms / these terms serve as the EULA and include Apple's minimum terms]. Apple is not responsible for BetterBaby or its content.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For significant changes we will tell you in the app at least [30] days before they apply. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before then.
13. Law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Swiss law. The courts of [Zurich], Switzerland have jurisdiction, [subject to mandatory consumer protection rules that give you the right to sue where you live].
